Lots of nice out there today. Took the All City single-speed on the weekday route, for a little change of pace.

Team Ride

All Team Ride today. Great to see friends that I haven't seen for way too long. Really good people, really good friends, really good ride. 50/15.9

Cold Wet and Long

Bundled the old hairy body into what seemed like way too many layers for early May. Also included a little waterproofing on the feet and hands. Departure temp was 35 and it was raining. The good news? The rain was ending and all we had to contend with was wet roads. About 10 miles into the ride I flatted. Yeah, it was turning into one of THOSE rides.
I was worried that I'd over dressed, but after stopping to fix the flat I wasn't worried any more.
Gabrielle and Rachel are not veterans to long rides. Until today, Gabrielle's max was 60 miles and Rachel's maybe 70. They toughed out an 85 miler and it was not easy for them.
Cold, wet and long....They did really good. Very impressive! 85/17.6

Bike Maitenence Friday

The Cannondale needed some drive train work. New chain, cassette and bottom bracket cups were installed. Found the chain ring bolts loose so I, of course, tightened those up. Already for a wet, cold soggy ride tomorrow. 80 and sunny where are you?

Warning

I think a personal best has been set this year for rides during Winter Storm Warnings. Yep, we started May out on the right foot with another warning. It's lookin' like this one might miss us to the east. One can only hope. My ride was all rain, but light. I was back in tights, layers, gloves and boots because temps were in the thirties. Evil seemed pleased to be out, but I was tired. 20/15.0
