Getting Back To More Normal

Storms rattled through again last night. I was lucky to be able to weather it all with electricity and air conditioning. Many of my friends and fellow twin citians are still without power.
Gabrielle and I rode to the northwest this morning and must have followed the path the storm took as it approached the cities on Friday. Generators and pumps were working along with roaring chainsaws. So many trees down, across roads, and on to houses. We were on a constant vigil for road debris. Long Lake had swollen well past its banks and at one point we were riding through lake water that had submerged the road we were on by a foot. Water was over our hubs and to our bottom brackets. It's not easy riding a bike in a lake.
Needless to say, it was wonderful to spend a Sunday morning riding with my daughter. 47/16.5

Awwh, how wonderful to ride with your daughter. It sounds like your area got hit a lot harder than where we live. We are just dealing with lots of water everywhere.

That's great, teaching your daughter to ride thru anything, just like her Dad.
