A cold North wind, and icy roads made it an unpleasant ride today. Fortunately the temps got above freezing about an hour after we started , so ice wasn't an issue any more. It was frustrating too, because I always want to go long and hard on Saturday. I rode with good guys, but all of us were just feeling kind of cruddy. I think it may just be the lousy weather...it finally starts getting to you. Got 72 miles in today at 17.5 mph. Not great, but considering the conditions I feel good about the ride. I'll try to get another 75 to 100 miles in tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.
Finished my De Rosa fixed gear last night, and took it out for a quick 8 mile spin today to see if I got it all put together right. I needed to raise the saddle a little, and the handle bars were just a little off. Otherwise she's a sweet ride, and not too hard on the eyes. Here's a little bike porn.
