Got A Ride In

It was touch and go. Last night it looked very promising for a ride today, but upon waking up there were green blobs on the radar.
We set out despite the approaching green front.
Amy's new bike came with a weather station so she kept us posted on where the rain was. When we got to Wayzata the rain was in Lakeville. Democracy is a wonderful thing and we cut the ride short keeping it to 50 miles, unanimously deciding a trip up into Medina and Baker would work. We played pretty hard and tried not to be too disruptive to the triathlon we came upon in Baker. And we were very careful not to go over the white line through Orono. The flag-lined streets in Excelsior gave us the feeling of a hero's welcome as we rode through town on our carbon, aluminum and steel steeds. Those green blobs just got caught us at the end cooling us off for the last 5 miles. Good ride! Good conversation! Great company! Thanks Ben, Doug and Amy. 50/19.7 (everybody else put on more miles than me)

p.s. Amy's bike is very nice, and is totally cool lookin', but don't tell her I said so.

Oh! just a little clarification, Amy's bike doesn't have a weather station, but her iphone does. I may wind up getting one of those now.

Where was the camera? I'd love to see a picture of Amy's new bike.

You all timed that ride perfectly.

I'm thinking something to monitor weather would be a good idea. Perhaps might keep one from riding into a tornado.
Oh, and what Lisa said, let's see that new bike. :-)
