Dang Stinkin' Hot

Whoa! It just takes your breath away. Hopkins bank thermometer read 96, as we passed by, a little after noon. MPR website said temp was 87 with a dew point of 75 at noon. Hottest time of the day will be about 4pm. Can't wait!
Five of us did the usual 50 miles up into Baker Reserve. It is so beautiful up there, with nice quiet roads. A cyclists paradise.
We were careful today, stopping when we needed to, checking to make sure everyone had water, and even though there was a small burst on one set of rollers, we kept the pace constant, with little energy wasted.
Lots of sweaty, smelly bodies at the end, but a very nice, albeit hot, ride. 52/18.4

I think a dip in the one of those beautiful twin cities lakes would feel good on the Harry Legge's this afternoon....don't forget to take a grandkid or two along!

Yowser, was it warm up in your neck of the woods, everytime I walked out of the airconditioned house, it was hard to draw a breath of air.
Tomorrow I must get out and suffer.
